    Hi everyone,
I have my 1963 Riviera sitting in my driveway finally. She has been owned by three generations of my family, my Grandma, Dad, and now me. She has 56,000 original miles on her and I grew up ridding in her. She came to me after my Dad died and I am sorry to say she has sat for 15 years. Life took over, kids, divorce, etc. I took her to a great mechanic to get her running and reliable. I got to drive her for the first time last night 45 miles home. I was smiling from ear to ear like a little girl on Christmas morning. She needs some little things worked on, like getting the blinkers going and body work such as a paint job. I am a self taught wrench girl. I know enough to be dangerous. Looking forward to asking questions and getting advice from everyone.

    Welcome!
Did your grandmother buy this River new? If so do you recall or know which dealership it came from?

    Cool story...

Grandpa bought it brand new. He even sprung extra for front seat belts. I don't know the dealership, but I know they where living in Van Nuys CA. at the time.

Welcome Tess, I'm local to you in Orange County. I wouldn't be surprise if your Rivy was bought from Reynolds Buick.......

Smokey15 So old that I use AARP bolts.

Welcome from west Michigan. Back in the day, I used to date many dangerous ladies. Now that I'm old, I just worry about the one that puts up with me (for 35+years) snapping and killing me. LOL!
You came to the right site, Tess. A great group of knowledgeable people here. And lots of help locating any parts you may need.
    Any pics of your Riv?

Thank you so much for the welcome. Wow 35 years that's an accomplishment. I only made 10, but I have two wonderful daughters for it. Pictures are coming, just remember she needs paint.

Awesome story, same here, my 70 Skylark was my Grandmothers, I grew up going to the mall and the movies in it. Then my dad had it from 1985-2013, I have had it since 2013. I love that car and it is invaluable to me, it could never be replaced.
You found a great website here with an immense amount of knowledge. Welcome, and drive the wheels off that Riv. Post some pictures when you get a chance.
