Rotar Springs

    Buickstaged The stable - 2204 Combined HP

    Recently I read an article about how to free up the front brakes/rotars - to eliminate almost all of the drag on the front disk brakes. I think the article was in the racing side. However, can't locate it. Any ideas on where I might find it? I tried the search - the discussion must have been in another labeled post.

    Personally it sounds like someone somewhere thought this sounded like a good idea without having any understanding of the new potential failure modes being introduced by doing something like this.

    A properly maintained OEM or aftermarket setup with free floating calipers should be all that's necessary; if that's the case, brake drag detraction from 1/4 mile et/speed would be negligible.
