Romac balancer

    I need a new balancer and there selling the Romacs on ebay for $240 are these any good?The BHJ's seem pricey at $400

    There are choices beleive it or not. You can go to Damper Dudes for a rebuilt one that I can say is a great value for the money. I put one on for $99.00. Unless you are racing I think it is the best choice. TA Performance also sells a balancer for race applications. It could be the Romac Balancer, not sure. I am not familiar with the BHJ.

    The rebuilt one from Damper dudes is to original specs and requires no modifications. The Romac may require some minor modifications.

    I have a romac balancer and have had no problems yet. Nice balancer.

    Last August I recieved a catalog from a company called Stevens Specialty Engine Parts. They have reconditioned balancers for Buick 350's for $45.00. 455's for $55.00. They also have new ones but they only list them as GM. They have 2 models that sell for $53.00.
    These guys also have reconditioned Buick 350 timing covers for $55.00
    I have never bought anything from these folks and know nothing about them, but their prices sure look good.
