    3/4-16 is the bolt size/thread pitch. That's 3/4 fine thread.

    I believe the Romac uses a longer bolt than stock.. about 2" but get further confirmation on that..

    Did you find out for sure if this bolt was 3/4x16x2" long? Where is the best place to get it? I will need one.

    Did you get 3/4x16x2?
    I just tried the size and Romac and Buick balancer bolt and nothing came up but the stock one. What did you put in the search to find it?

    Try just putting in the bolt size and grade in the search;

    3/4"-16 X 2" grade 8 bolt. GL

    Do you think 2" will be too short for the Romac? I found a 1 3/4 in my bolt bend with washer but don't have a crank gear to put on to check.

    I found a stock crank gear and measured everything and it looks like a 2" with a thick washer will be really close to the right thread depth of the crank. Thanks.

    Be careful not to get the grade 5 bolt from eBay get a grade 8 bolt.

    These are nice but they sell them in lots of 5;

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/5-3-4-16x2-...980?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3a85a4e72c

    These would work as well but are sold as 2 pack;

    With the amount of torque required for a Buick balancer a grade 5 bolt may fail, I would go with the grade 8 to be safe.GL

    Buick minds think alike Derek! I bought the first one you posted for 5. I will have extras and the 1.5 L bolt I have with a washer permantly on it looks like those. I don't know if it came out of a 455 but it fits the crank and has a thick washer on it.
    I can post a pic of it tonight.

    I would buy 2 of them from you if you want to part ways with them. Have one on my 462 and need to get a balancer for my 464..

    I got mine at fastenal. Don't remember the price. Mine was longer than b 2inch, but I damaged, stripped the first few threads one day tring to pull the romac on without an installer. I was able to run a thread cashed into fix the first few threads enough the get a bolt pass then but I would not trust them to hold. I think u used closer to 3 inch with the factory thick washer on it. My crank had alot of room in it to put a longer bolt in it.

    But if ypu measure how deep your threaded area of the crank is, add the thickness of your washer. You will know you can a bolt at least that long. If I recall a stk bolt and stk washer won't even start to thread once the balancer is installed
