i was always under the impression that roller lifters were a no-go because they don't cover the lifter galleys- thus you can't keep your oil pressure up. i was reading a book on small block mopars, and they showed a steel tube that was inserted into the lifter galley and then peened with a blunt-tipped lifter-size thingy to make room for the lifters. is this what you need to do to run rollers in a buick? or is there an easier way?
TA sells roller lifters.....a direct fit to the Buick lifter bores. I'm not sure if there is a cross reference...but they have what you're looking for. Got 16 of them in my motor...
