I need some advice on rods. Will the stock rods with polished beams and ARP bolts hold up to this:
    464- 10.67:1 compression
    ported Stage 2 SE heads
    SP1, 850 Holley
    headers
    TA 296-08H10 cam.

Or, should I bite the bullet and get some better rods? I don't want to spend the $$ for the good Buick rods, but I'm thinking about Chevy BB rods, or maybe the Pontiacs, if someone finds out they work.
This motor will never see RPM's over 6000.
    What do you think?

stock rods that are polished and then shotpeened, with the APR bolts, then they will need to be resized. they should be good for 6500 rpm but i have heard of guys going to 6800 rpm with them. i polished the beams myself then had the machine do the shotpeening and install the bolts then resize them, they charged around $100

    I had shot peened,Not polished,Rods w/ ARP bolts in a 6500 RPM motor that went low 10's....
You'll be fine with them in that combo
