rod orientation?

which way do the rods face in the block. I know I know big end down little end up.:grin: There is a little bump on one side does that mean something?

the nipple (little bump) is supposed to be faced toward the back of the block.

Actually those little bumps are supposed to face each other on the same crankpin. Cylinders 1,3,5 and 7 face towards the rear of the block and 2,4,6 and 8 face the front. :eek2:
