Did a search on this and couldnt come up with the answer - I've got a set of 455 rocker shaft assm where the rocker arms are not labeled L or R, and pushrod cup seem to be centered under the arm. I believe at sometime, Buick made a running change to larger pushrod holes in the heads and non specific rockers...when did they make those changes, how large are the larger holes and can I run a set of 71 heads with smaller holes and centered rockers without the pushrods rubbing?

That's everything I know about the issue.

Thanks Shurkey - I've got a set of 455 centered rockers that appear to be OEM, and are likely off a later motor. I'm just reluctant to use them if I'm setting myself up for pushrod clearance issues. Has anyone had good results with centered rockers on 71 heads?
