Hello, I have a 69 430 in a 70 Skylark. I changed over to the 70 rocker arms and push rods. I used the rocker arm spacers off of my 430 onto the 70 rocker arms. Should I remove these spacers and bolt directly to the head like factory? I've never had any problems, just curious. Thanks

first off, the lifters on a 69 motor don't have oiling holes in them since the rockers were oiled through the rocker shaft which was oiled through a hole in the shaft from the head. The 70 shaft doesn't have that hole. So even though your pushrods have holes in them they get no oil. This oiling system will work if you change the lifters to 70 and later.

I made the oil modifications a couple of years ago per T/A. Running 70 lifters, rocker arms and hollow push rods. Oil system is solid. My question was about using the rocker spacers off of my old rocker arms onto my 1970 rocker arms. I have had them on for a couple of years with no issues. Wondering if anyone else done the same.

Good on the oiling then. The spacers distribute the hold down pressure better than point loading so I wouldn't worry about it.
