Trying to source parts for a stock Q-Jet rebuild. Carb. is a #7041544, '71 350.
Have been in touch with a few vendors both local & remote. No one seems to have what I need.
    Looking for:
    1 pr. # 68 jets
    1 pr. #42B metering rods
    1 pr. #BS rear rods.

    Any help much appreciated.

    Summit part numbers:

    EDL-1968 for #68 jets

Do a Summit search for "Edelbrock Metering Rods". You can then filter for Q-Jet primary and Q-Jet secondary. You'll end up with 9 choices for secondary rods, and 10 choices for primary rods--but be careful, the post-74 carbs take a different rod, and there are both styles listed in the 10 choices.

Edelbrock made two tuning kits, one for '74 and older carbs, and another for '75 and newer carbs. I think they've been discontinued, though. The kits had an assortment of jets, rods, hangers and PV springs, along with a high volume accelerator pump. They were about a hundred bucks or so--I've kinda forgotten exactly.

Thanks for the direction. I'll search the site over the weekend. Core is in now for cleaning & bushings. I have all the small parts off & cleaned up nicely.
Is the power piston a wear item that should be replaced?

Nope (unless there is any visible problem with it...)

I would expect the casting is softer than the piston. So if there's wear, it's likely to be worse on the casting.

I think this is going to be a INSPECTION for wear, and pray there isn't any, rather than just tossing in another power piston.
