Mechanicals un important. prefer decent body and int. I Have 72 skylark/parts I could trade or will buy outright fo fair price Thanks Brian
I haven't looked "hard" for one of these, but have kept it in my mind for a car to watch for. I have only come across one for sale (in 3 years) and it was $6K and needed restored. They will definitely be a collectible one day.
MAybe it's my lack of sleep or something but does anyone else see a resemblance between these two? Sal
Sal I used to own that Road Hawk as well, not too shabby eh (OK, it's in car heaven, I got it for its few remaining decent parts)? Still like the Monza clones lines better than the Mustang II, but both those mini-sports' cars get a thumbs-up in my book!
Bryan, THat Roadhawk is truly awesome. I actually never saw one until this thread and then I did a search and low and behold. What happened to the car? Sorry, I don't mean to hijack this thread. Sal
Hey Sal That particular car, once I got it, was basically a rotting shell, the interior was gone, the floor pans were well ventilated and the engine and tranny were long history. I did spare the wheels and the Road Hawk rear spoiler and quarter panel extentions, other than that, there was just nothing left to salvage. That pic was taken by the original owner when he bought it in '79. Fortunately the Road Hawk I'm restoring is a little better, AZ car, rust free and complete. For those guys looking for a Road Hawk, I know where there maybe a couple available, email me and I'll send you the info I have. fyrftr422@hotmail.com
