    buickbonehead WOT Baby!

66Kooch was buying a repop horn bar and repop horn cap from me and we were talking your basic Wildcat BS. He knows I have an illness when it comes to the wood steering wheels. So he says he has this this "Crazy Idea". He proceeds to tell me that his Wildcats (yes plural) do not have wood anywhere in the interior and that he's always wanted to paint one of the wood wheels black because it would look so cool in the car. Rivi guys please stop cussing.

When he started this discussion I had to start grinning. I knew where he was going with it. I had come to the same conclusion sometime back and didn't want to let the "Crazy Idea" out of the bag until I finished my car and I could show the pics then. As most of you know I'm still working on the car. The Kooch is way ahead of me in the finished car department so I thought I would beat him to it.

What do you guys think? Crazy idea? The wheel was a cracked up "rescue", so Rivi guys relax!

Mr. Nagel, I know a certain black cat that this idea would look incredible on! I'm just sayin'

That's a great way to save and use a cracked up wood wheel. I like it. Good job!

Love the gloss black with the black wildcat emblem in the first pic.

Brilliant! I have a well worn wood wheel that may make a good candidate for that treatment...needs horn bar and centercap-I was thinking of using a 66 wheelcover center for the horn cap.

Waiting for my wheel to come back from Gary's in Carlisle PA. I will post a before and after in the new cat I just picked up. Most likely a month or so before the wheel is done.
