Please help. I have an otherwise nice '71 driver w/ rebuilt engine/tranny. Problem is guy who had it before me tried to change the enterior and dash (nice) outta an otherwise rustheap. Well his mechanic Literally is a crackhead. He got high and went to town- dismantling the entire donor car and 80% of the driver, and of course. I know there is a proper procedure to do this and I will take an inventory and pics. Which book will I need? Will a chassis manual show the detail need for the dash, wires and such? Or does anyone know of a site tat may have the diagrams. All the books I've seen are pretty pricy.

Well thanx in advance. There's notin' nicer than goin down those hilly curvin roads through the woods up by moms....

The 1971 Buick Chassis Service Manual should have everything you need

Going rate USED to be $40 or so (Usually higher for the 1970 "big red book.")

They may be more now (like everything is), but still should be way under $100 for a nice used one.
