    Hi.

I am planing to replace the Body Mounting Pads on my 68 Riv. I got a kit from "Cars" , however, it was for the Skylark and did not fit. (My fault).

According the the part manual, there seems to be different types of pads mixed on the vehicle, and Cars does not know if the one they have fits the 68 Riv.
    Can anybody pls enlighten me?
Would appresiate if any of you could get me the name of a internet supplier and the/their correct part #'s.

I just did my '68 Riviera this winter with body bushings from CARS (644). Fit fine. Be sure to get the radiator core support bushing kit, too. I just checked CARS webpage and that's the stuff I used.

FYI, if you're planning on doing suspension parts AutoZone.com has what you need. They had to special order some of mine from Rare Parts but I got the complete setup at less than anywhere else I could find.

    Thanks a lot.

12 ea 644 just ordered. (recond the radiator support is also 644).

Have done the front & rear suspension, but need a complete center link. Found something "similar" locally, but have squicking noises when turning due to incorrect "toe-out in turns".

Will search locally for it, but most likely have to get it from your side. It is just that shipping and custums kills me.
Must have paid $ 2-3000 in S&H only the last two years :ball:

(If the wife knew, she'll most probably been a widow by now).

    Questions.

    Cars lists both a BM 644 & a BM 644A. for the '67-'70 Riviera.
Which did you order? Do you have to order both to get a complete set?

I may go ahead and order the core support kit at least.

How was the service from them? I have read some not so flattering things about Cars inc. on this board, and am hesitant.

Well Dale, let me answer your last first. I have ordered a lot of parts from Cars, and I would say that 95% have been very good. :TU: Than again, I am not situated in the US, so I am don't know the level of service you are used to there. During the restoration of my 68 Riv, I have mainly used Buickfarm, Cars & Mike Ordway. They have all been very, very helpfull. (Without them, I would not be close to where I am now).

I ordered the BM 644 only, (12 ea total), and they are still on the way. So I can't tell you how they fit yet. (I'll expect them in a week or two, depending the customs services this end). But as with the other parts that I ordered previously, they should fit, "In Shallah".
Will keep you informed as & when installed.
