I looked at some Rivieras today that were owned by a man that was recently killed in an auto accident involving one of his classic autos. His widow and family are needing to dispose of the following cars and I need some opinions on value.
1 64 Light blue, dark blue int. needs paint, detailing, minor mechanical and some minor interior panel and chrome details.
1 71 Gold....ran when parked, last cranked about a year ago. Needs paint and interior. Does not seem to have any rust issues.
1 73 bronze...same shape as the 73. Of course, no guarantee that they run or will drive.
    Any comments/ideas will be appreciated.

The 64 would be the most expensive. And sadly the 71 and 73 wont be much. For the 71 $1500 if there is no rust, not to many missing pieces and the motor can be salvaged. The 73 might be $1200 given your description. the prices i gave are at most you might be able to get from them. The 64 i would not know, Sorry. Dont sell the boattails as a pair! They could get more from individually selling them. Keep me posted on the whereabouts of the boattails. Thanks.

The 64 should be in the 3000 - 4000 range.

    The 71 1000-1800.

    The 73 less.

Again all would depend on the condition and whether they will start and are driveable.

    These are also swag numbers.

    Hope this helps.

Hard to price something you never see. And, it depends on how badly you want it. The oldest is the most expensive. 63 and 64's are high with the 65 being the highest. 66 and 67's have been climbing in the last couple of years. 68-70's are a little cheaper than the model before it, but still are on the rise. 71 is the highest of all Boat-tails, but is a slight decrease again from the earlier models. After 73, the price drops drastically. I love them all. The above mentioned prices are probably in the range for what you could expect to pay. Remember, Buicks are on the rise as a whole and will only gain in the near future.

hmmm, I bought my 71 Riv for about 3000 US. Lot's of bondo, neads paint, interior in GREAT shape, runs well, just drove it home, Apparently boattails are worth more in Canada, since I look at about a dozen and I got the one that was the best price.
