I am getting ready to swap a 3.42 Posi in place of the 2.92 open in my 71 Riviera. What parts will I need to do this (crush sleeve, pinion seal etc) and where can I get these from ? I am just swapping the guts and not replacing the entire axle. I have a friend who is pretty good at gear swaps so as long as I have all the right parts I should be golden.Thanks, Dan.
You will need a carrier shim pack, Pinion shims, Pinion Nut, Crush Sleeve, Rear cover gasket (tough one) Pinion seal, Axle seals will need to look that up. But seals might be a good I dea if your going this far. If you need bearings we have all those too. Jim JD
