Is there a good product for bringing the color back into my origanal tatared black convertible top? Can't aford the $1800 to have a new top installed so trying to make this one look more presentable for now. Any sugestion welcomed. Thanks Chuck
I take armor all and apply it with a sponge. Looks good, and cheap. Not sure if there's something better.... Gary G.
I use "Auto Glym Rubber and Vinyl Care". My top was grey when I got the car two years ago. Scrubbed the blazes out of it with regular car wash and a bristle brush, then applied this stuff. My top is now pitch black and looks brand new. I did it a few times the first year, now just once a season to freshen it when the car comes out of storage. Sorry I don't have a decent "before" picture.
Black shoe polish. Shines, softens and waterproofs. If it is a vinyl top then use paste and if it is canvas then use the bingo dauber style.
