    Dear V-8 Buick light seekers,

I just noticed that at least a few companies appear to be selling LED replacements for the old 211 bulb that goes into 1965 Special dome light. Here is one:

Here is another one on Amazon:

In both cases this is a 211-2 bulb, but I would hope that's the same length and mount.

According to the GM service manual, the original 211 bulb was just 15 candlepower!! No wonder I couldn't ever find anything in the car at night!! So an upgrade would be very desirable.

I did a search of V-8 Buick and found that some folks have installed these LED dome light bulbs, but I didn't find a review. So those who have tried this, what do you think?

Is the improvement in lighting satisfying? Is the light not too harsh? Would you recommend that the rest of us upgrade from our 15 candlepower bulbs?

    Opinions solicited!! :Smarty:

    Cheers, Edouard :beer
