Please, respect this community by FOLLOWING the rules CLEARLY LISTED AT THE TOP OF THESE SUB FORUMS. If you decide to sell a part here, PLEASE sell it HERE. If someone states they will buy it, then PLEASE sell it to that member. If you feel that you have better offers, can get more for it on eBay, etc, then PLEASE remove your post.

Folks- we buy and sell on this BUICK forum to help out other BUICK owners. I understand that many of us would like to make some money on our parts... But, if you list something here for $xx and a member states they will buy it... Then suddenly a similar one sells for $XXX on an auction site and you say 'the heck with my V8Buick ad... I can get more for it on eBay!!' That's not right and, I believe I speak for quite a few of us, you CAN LEAVE.

I've tried to be nice, fair, generous, understanding...but the 'monster' is growing. I will now consult with Jim and the other mods to go right to suspensions to revocation of your user if you cannot follow the CLEARLY POSTED rules.

You're here for the same reason the rest of us are... And if you need that spelled out, kindly leave.

on many of the forums i frequent, newby's cant post anything for sale til 10 or 25 posts...it stops the new guy with 0 posts from skipping in there, and taking off...it works,

and i see new posters screwing this up often here..also..when ya post there needs to be a pop up for the poster advising him of the rules, or it needs to be above the posting screen when they hit the submit button..it doesnt take much for that to happen..ive had at least 10 deals go south..i just let it go....but since ya brought it up as being a monster...well..just sayin'

So with saying lets follow the rules, what's for sale in this "Part for Sale" thread?

This thread should be posted in the Bench per the board rules. There are 3 stickys and this was in 1 of them.

    Effective immediately.

Due to the high number of complaints I have recieved from users posting for sale ads, only to have the post overtaken by a flame war about prices, vehicle conditions, values, the rise and fall of the Roman Empire ect.. commentary will no longer be allowed in someone's ad. If you want to comment on something, make your own new post about it, in the Bench, or other appropriate forum. Reasonable requests for more pictures, info, or other sale related communication is still allowed.

The moderators have been instructed to immediately delete any post that even hints of anything other than straightforward buying/selling discussion.

Offenders of this new policy risk disciplinary action.

Let's just buy and sell some parts folks, and keep the commetary to ourselves, or in other appropriate forums. It's, at the very least, rude to break up someone's for sale ad with your personal views on prevailing pricing trends, or other non-sale related information.

All ads MUST have price and location along with your name to be posted with the ad. All ads not complying with this will be deleted if not edited within a reasonable time frame.

    Thanks

Never happen, any type of fee would kill the classifieds.

I respect everyone's right to sell their parts as they wish, but follow the rules if you wish to use the board here to sell stuff.

Otherwise it's chaos, and I would just as soon shut them down, then deal with that.

I response to a few... In no way did I state WHERE to sell your parts... Stating follow the RULES for selling parts HERE and have respect for those in this community. Couldn't have been clearer...
