In looking at some turbo 350's for sale out there I keep seeing the term reverse shift pattern ...what exactly do they mean with that term ?

Instead of the "ususal" forward stock pattern.....3rd becomes 1st, 2nd is 2nd, and first is 3rd. Your working away from the "do not's" (shift to neutral)
Friend of mine has this in his '67 Chev and it works slik with a B&M Quik click "rachet" shifter.
It's an "old school" shifter, but works nails.

I have it on my 71,keeps me from throwing it into neutral or god forbid reverse stop light to stop light bursts.

The only downside to this is going back and forth between R and D when parking...

I had my 400 setup like this, it is prefered for racing...
