in the link listed below, there are two different tools pictured. are both these tools designed to remove the reveal mouldings from the windshield & from the rear window?
or is one used to remove the clips from the studs? if not, then does someone have a picture of the tool that would remove the clips?
i ask these questions because, if plans unfold as expected, my 72 gs will be attending a local bodyshop for the winter ( a winter project) to be repainted and like other a-body cars, have the beginnings of rust repaired at the base of the rear window channel.

1st one is used for removing the mouldings and the 2nd one is for cutting the glass out. Tom

    Gerry,
First one is for the clips that secure the stainless mouldings around the windshield. It releases the moulding from the clip. Used on many, many different vehicles.
Second tool is used to cut thru the adhesive between the glass & the steel channel, into which the glass is mounted. Get the blade started in the adhesive & then pull it around the glass with the "T" handle. Careful the blade does not cut into the interior vinyl windlace pieces...ask me how I know!
The clips that hold the mouldings on will pop off with a light tap from a plastic/rubber hammer. At times they fall off the studs. Local climate will dictate....many are rusted to dust, others as new.

Didn't read it all. Once you have the moulding removed you can seperate the clips from the studs by hand. Tom
