My motor does not have the return spring bracket or the dash pot bracket for the carburetor installed. My question is - Can I just remove one intake bolt and reinstall the bolt with the bracket individually? History - I did have a new intake gasket put on the motor around this time last year (June 2019). My motor didn't have these brackets originally, so I didn't know about these. The return spring was just hooked to the end of the intake and I am in the process of putting a period correct Q-Jet on the motor. Thanks for the help! Hey Larry, sorry one more question. I'm assuming that adding the dash pot is a good thing, right? From what I see, it slows down the closure of the butterflies when you let off the gas to avoid stalling. Thanks again!
Ok, thanks...I do have a (new to me) Q-Jet with level 2 build coming from Quadrajet Power . Use to have a 750 Edlebrock on the car. Guess I need at least to put the return spring bracket on so the spring isn't hooked to the edge of the manifold.
