I'm not going fast enough(yet) to use it all the time but as we built my car we kept saying "Better to have it and not need it,Than to need it and not have it". Pictures....
One more.......I will try to get a close up of the finished product......Yhe mount for the 'chute pack itself is done out of chromoly tubing and chromed. Looks very trick in my eyes....
Gary, Sweet on top of sweet is just plain..........sweet. I didnt know you had that car off the frame. I'll have to look closer next time.
Jim, you must look at Gary's car VERY close, you will be amazed at the expertise involved in building this car. a work of art, is more like it. Check it out! Gary knows a real good fab and weld man, Danny is tops! Bruce
Wish I knew where it was. There is a pic floating around of a ricer who got a used chute and just bolted it to the back of the car / sheet metal. The first use yanked the body out a few feet.
>>> Gary, You are so right......after being the 2nd guy at Bob's terrible accident two weeks ago convinced me to put a chute on, even tho the best I have gone is 136mph I am not taking any chances. I just came in today and will be at chassis shop next week for installation. Better safe than sorry.
Ditto Rich, I reached out to Gary to pick his brain on how he mounted his chute. decided to install one.
other side....... And if things go well,This week I'll take another step towards actually using this more often
Gary, Looks good...I just got my car back yesterday from the chassis shop with my new chute installed, maybe I too could post some pics for the GN guys. The only good thing that may have come out of Bob's accident is more guys taking safety even more serious and thinking about chutes. Hope Bob's doing well and getting better each day.
