After trying to buy tips from several vendors and not being able to get anything correct and/or get stock. We ended up coming across an NOS exhaust tip which we used as our pattern. You won't need to buy NOS ones, paying high prices. They are approximately 2.25" ID, so you have a little room to play with your tailpipes over the stock 2" inlet. They retail for $249 pr. Yes they are chrome plated. We just offer the one size, its off marginally from the original, how you gonna mic the inside diameter of it once it is installed? The O.D. is exactly the same as original, the orginal has a thicker wall...
So you would need to sleeve the inside of the tip in order to fit on a stock pipe? Why woulnt you make an exact reproduction?
