Reproduction N-25 bumpers?

It seems like at one point someone was converting standard bumpers into N-25's.

From what I remember it wasn't totally correct but was good enough for a 20 footer (think the lip that at the ports wasn't correct?).

Anyhow is anyone making any form of conversion or reroduction that anyone is aware of for the 71 or 72?

    Thanks,

    Fritz

Rusty Davenport sold them last year. I saw some at the BG Nationals in 04 and can say it was nice work. I would put one on my car any day. Nice guy too. :TU:

    Hey John,

    Thanks buddy :TU:

How can I get hold of Rusty, or do you remember about how much they were?

    Thanks,

    Fritz

You can go to the members list and pm him. He has been on here lately. Can't say he has any now and I don't remember what he wanted for one last year. They were a considerable amount cheaper than the real thing is selling for.

Hi John & John,I will have a couple of 1972 N25 for sale at the Nats this year.I think they look good even closer than 20 feet but look at the picture to judge for yourself. Price is $600.00 plus a core bumper exchange.

    Thanks Rusty,

Yeh, now that one looks more like it.I believe one I saw just had been cut out without the lip like yours has.

Ok, let me tell my buddy and see if he wants to get one now.
Are these triple plated or have any chrome guarantee (because I know he is going to ask)?

    Thanks again.

I am not the chrome plater so no chrome warrantee from me.I will now only sell one of my bumpers in person face to face with the buyer;we can both inspect bumper and if it suits then a purchase can be made.If someone doesn't feel comfortable with the chrome on my bumpers then I can also sell you one that I have made into a N25 but not sent out to be chromed for $300.00 plus core bumper exchange and you can have it chromed by plater of your choosing. Most chrome platers offer 1 year warranty on the chrome and a few offer lifetme warranty.Prices on plating a 70-72 Skylark rear bumper range from a low of $250.00 to a high of $1200.00. Before I started making the ''REPRO" N25 a factory N25 core in bad condition with major dents, rust, and peeling chrome I watched it sell for $600.00 so I think my price and terms are fair for a freshly rechromed N25 lookalike.PM me if you want to talk by phone. Thanks

If I didn't already own one, I think I'd be buying one from you. :TU:

Looks good and sounds good to me.

He is buying a 72 today so after we get it I am sure he will be getting in touch with you (couple weeks).

    Thanks again :TU:
