I was looking at my front suspension on my 66 and it has a new PST front end kit on it.. I noticed that the upper control arm shafts appear to be cast where the OEM stuff was forged. notice in the pictures the difference between the part on the car and the spare with nuts on it. Cast can't be as good as the OEM forged stuff
