Put a 66 442 beside a 70 GS and you will see how low, flat and wide the 442 really is. That low profile of the 442 is what makes a 14 inch wheel look so good. We have 14 inch SS1 s on ours.
The 70 GS also has the wheel wells flared out some so the 14 inchers look lost. Had some on my stage 1 conv and they just looked like go cart wheels. They were the original size G/70 on original rallye wheels. Amazed we drove around on the old tire combinations and are still here to talk about it. All this talk is going to get the old wallet out again!!!
