With all the knowledge of forum viewers, I can't believe no one has replied to this. I know the info is out there somewhere but have spent hours upon hours googling it and reading forums etc. Cannot find spec on depth from face to face before installing trans. Maybe someone has a mid 50's trans with converter already assembled and can check the min max depth. I have pasted the original post text here. Someone PLEASE help.
Greetings from a new member, I have a 55 Special, rebuilding dynaflow, need some info. I have read somewhere but cant find in my Buick books: what is the proper converter depth in relation to the bell housing face, minimum and maximum? I am also looking for reference material on dimensions of various parts,ie: reaction shaft length. I need to determine if I have some mismatched parts in trans or converter that would explain failure of front pump AND end of reaction shaft. Thanks for any help, TexasJohn55
