I'm getting ready to replace my ignition. I have never done it before, but I youtube it and it seems simple. Are there any tips anybody can share?
If all you are replacing is the coil, then it is very simple. Disconnect the battery, then take a picture of how the original unit is installed, so you can reference the pic later when installing the new one. Putting on the wires in the same location as the old coil is key. Btw, nice stripes. Check out the pics of my car in the Garage section.
I'm replacing the plugs too. ---------- Post added at 01:13 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:12 PM ---------- Thanks, I will check them out.
When I did my plugs I did them one at a time and hooked the wires back to them, probally a little more time consuming but it made sure I didn't mess anything up. then, I did the same thing when replacing the wires. Finally, I broke out the wireing chart and traced the wires to the correct spots, a little over kill perhaps but I got everything right the first time! :TU:
