Anyone know if I can get just the arm for a fuel pump?
I have one of JW's CV pumps and left it too close to the timing chain.
Its not worn all the way through...but close.
Has been this way for many years but with the engine apart for a cam swap, I figured it would be a good time to remedy this.
It looks like it would be easy to replace in the CV pump...just need to figure out where to get an arm.

    Thanks.

From Jim Weise. That CV pump comes with a Chevrolet arm. Jim replaces it with a Buick arm. Bet he has a supply, or maybe you can get your own from an old fuel pump.

Yeah, I knew he converted them and figured he would have a supply...was hoping there might be a way to get one locally, like from O'reilly's or something. I am considering taking the one off my old pump...if I can find it...but it has the wear plate and I would rather not have it on there.

If I had a TIG or a gas set-up, I would consider it. All I have is a crappy flux-core...I'm sure it would ruin it.

I would just pick up the phone and call Jim. RobbMc makes pumps for the BBB. Maybe he will sell you an arm.

Take it by a body shop , fab shop , muffler shop, Vocational school etc I have people stop by my body shop all the time wanting stuff welded, where it rubs is a good ways away from the pump, just tape off the cavity. Those arms are staked in place you run a greater risk messing it up trying to replace the arm imo

Call TA, they are not listed in the catalog, but they have the correct arm.

Thanks Jim. Looks like it won't be too difficult to replace.?.?
Looks like I'll have to call them about a new balancer anyway.
Was hoping my OLD ATI unit would fit under the timing marks of a new TA cover...but that's not the case.
Been tired of the ill-fitting ATI for some time anyway, but was hoping to delay the expense of a new balancer for a little while longer.
