    Hey guys,
Since I decided to redirect my efforts toward my buick, I have been in the hunt for more information. In particular, I have been looking for a service/repair manual for my car's engine (1976-455). I have a factory service manual for my saturn, and it has absolutely everything I would need to know, along with illustrations. Does anyone know where I can find such a resource for the Buick? I have a Haynes manual, but it is a joke. I found some stuff on www.classicbuicks.com, but I'm not sure if this would be sufficient. Any reccomendations would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
    Langston

I agree with your observation about Haynes 100%! the most confusing gathering of "information" I have yet seen. I like how they don't show you the orientation of their pictures!

The 1976 455 should be quite similar to other 455s from 1973 to 1975. I'm not 100% sure of where to locate a chassis manual for your car (which should include all info for the engine), but an old Chilton's manual should do you well in meantime before you get a proper chassis manual. The 1971-1978 manual would be ideal for you. I have my Dad's old original. It's kinda funny to see the pictures I drew in the margins as a little brat, err, kid.

You may also try posting the manual you are after in the 'parts wanted' section of this BB. Good luck!
