What's the best way to remove water spots on my car's exterior paint? Any suggestions? It's for my 94 Grand Am, by the way. I figured this would be the best place to post this, since it's non-BBB related. Thanks!

If I get them, I re-wash, dry with a chamois, and then lightly buff and polish. After that, wax, so I don't get them back

Okay, but these spots have been on there awhile. I'm not sure what to do with 'em. Will they just buff out? And is it okay to do it by hand?

    White Vinegar

I have been using white vinegar on both the painted surfaces & the chrome.
    5% acidity.
White vinegar has been used forever for removing lime deposits from around faucets, etc.
All the surfaces have wax on them and I have not seen any sort of damage done to the wax, paint or chrome. The Buick seems to like being pickled! :)

I am going to have some plumbing changed and just run soft water out to my car-washing hose and solve the problem once and for all.

if they've been there for awhile.. probably have to use the vinegar water as mentioned... i've never had a problem with using a quick detailer though. i use mother's quick detailer and it works really well.
