if i remove the whole top on my wagon will the chassis soften up?
if so, is there a brace i can get/ fab to get it back. i know most rag tops are less rigid...but i only know it happens with unibody

interesting Question.....when you say "Whole Top" do you really mean the whole top ??? Like al the way from the tailgate up to the windshield ????

Im not familiar with '82 wagons and you didnt state what year......the Big wagons (b-bodiy) were body on frame and i think the frame was full frame too ...as in boxed as opposed to open. that would be better....

4-door wagons usually have 4 pillars

A-pillar is the front windshield supports
B--pillar is inbetween the front and back doors
C-pillar is behind the rear seat, infront of the cargo area
    D-pillar is at the back

Here's a pic of an ElCamino/ Wagon done on a late model B-Body wagon. He removed the D and C Pillars leaving A and B, but looks like he fabbed a C-pillar back on for the rear glass - pretty :bglasses:

Cutting out the D-pillar and making a 4-door ElCamino/wagon shouldnt pose any structural issues - i thought I had a pic of one but cant find it.....
