I need to remove the drivers side front fender. (1970 skylark) How does it come off? Help please thanks
Remove the bolt(s) from: underneath the back/bottom of fender; one bolt at the top of fender visible with door open; one bolt on top of firewall; one bolt on front of firewall; two bolts on top of core support; three (i think) bolts behind headlight; one bolt under front bottom of fender; and 4 or 5 bolts inside fenderwell above tire. *DISCLAIMER* This is from memory.
And dont forget to tape the edge of the door and the edge of the fender with masking tape! :Smarty: Just in case the fender comes in contact with the door. It helps to prevent chips and scratches. In fact, I would use a double layer just in case
Thanks for all your sugestions guys I spoke to my father in law yesterday and he said he can fix it for me (he works in a body shop - he's been doing it for over 25yrs) So he's going to help me out, but he said that i will need to buy the chrome molding that goes around the fender by the tire. where can i find that? (drivers side) Also the Inner Wheel housing that goes inside of the fender. If you guys can direct me to the place to find it, i would appreciate it thanks in advance Marvin
I have one if you need it. But, how to ship it across the country without it being destroyed would be a challenge. o No:
