Did notice on some non A/C there are small nuts holding dash pad above the radio and glove box. Also above spedometer there are screws vertically running up thru bezel into back of dash. And balance of dash is held in by a push pin type catch which are released by pulling dash.anyone else please chime in with more help.

Be sure to remove all screws before pulling the dash , if you have a shop manual that will help to locate them .

They're is 2 clip (one each end) who are little stiff , I doubled check before pulling it off not to break anything , take your time that goes out quite well . :TU:

    I have the three , ( top wasn't there ) 2 nuts removed.

I am trouble locating the "<tt>Arrows indicate the retainers for the two upper instrument cluster screws".
    Any suggestions ?

    Thanks,

I don't know if the 68-9 have those screws.....they are similar to the 70-2 but not the same....just take a close look and you should be able to see all screws/nuts.

Disconnect the speedo cable the then gently pull it out holding the ends.....then unhook the main harness from the J hooks and it will come out a lil further so you can disconnect the ac/heater control from the cluster.

The retaining pins can sometimes prove a lil difficult to "unsnap" from the metal dash retainers.....as long as you have removed the nuts from the dash studs....as I show in the article....use a firm pull to release the pin from the retainer.

Ok this one '68 had 4 total studs and 3 that were on the bottom.
