Can someone tell me how to remove the trim from a '70 GS grille? I took out the screws for the J-hook pieces and it seems the edges wrap around the grille itself, so it doesn't just pull right off. It looks as though the J-hooks need to be removed first as it's locked into the bottom trim piece. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.:TU:

They have kind of a clamp fit. Just slighly open the J trim and it will pull off , then the bottom piece. The screw eye has to pull away a bit from the recess at the bottom . I would start there.

    Rob,
If it ever decides to stop snowing here, and the weather cooperates enough,I will get that manual box off that 72 and bring that and the bumper down to you in the next week or so.Looks like 4-6" more snow tonight and another 7:30 pm bedtime.Starting to get a little old now...lol It seems that all I get to do lately is plow snow and go to bed early. These 3 am morning starts can't end fast enough.
