Anyone have any advice on where to start?
I have hot air blowing out of the vents in the console when I have the A/C on, so i'm guessing that something's not plumbed right and need to get in there to have a look. The A/C works fine, it's just these vents that blow hot air.

    Any tips for removal?

No answers?-well not too many Rivguys work on the cars. I'll guess that your problem is a cable or dashpot problem with a door open that should be closed. I'll further guess that the location is under the dash rather than in the console. I hope somebody else that knows answers you. If not, try the Riv section of the BCA site-good luck

Probably the heater control valve under the hood not shutting off the water flow through the heater core when the lever is in the off heat position. I would check that 1st. There are no controls in the console concerning heater control other than the levers & for this the console does not need to be removed. Try blocking off the hot water feed hose to the heater core with a pair of vise grips & see if this may solve the problem. The feed hose is at the thermostat housing.
