I apologize in advance if I posted this in the wrong section. Not quite sure where else to put it.

Every year my high school puts on a Relay For Life even raising money for the American Cancer Society. I've been a participant the last few years, and will continue to do so beyond and after high school. It's a great event, and it is awesome knowing your helping contribute to such a great cause.

I'll admit the last few years our team didn't take the fund raising as seriously as we should have. We fund raised what was asked of us, however we didn't go all out. This year, I'm determinded to raise as much money as possible. Using email, Facebook, Twitter, and even the online communities that I'm apart of, I've set a lofty fund raising goal.

I'd appreciate any and all support that you can give. Whether you actually donate money, or simply pass this info on, I really appreciate it. Thanks again everybody!

Here's a link to my Relay website, where your able to make donations; http://main.acsevents.org/site/TR?px=16705642&pg=personal&fr_id=22868 .

Our band is playing at one nearby in June. We support them whenever we can. Good on ya for doing the same at such a young age!

Our town got into it with a Womanless Wedding fundraiser. It was alot of fun and we raised about $5000. And, no, I did not wear a dress .... I was the ringbearer.

Guys, I don't want to sound like I'm begging for money, but I know this board has rallied behind people in times of need before.

This is a fantastic cause, and a donation is even tax deductable.

PLEASE consider donating, or at least passing this info along. I don't get anything from raising funds, just the satisfaction of donating to an organization the the American Cancer Society.

Within 20 years, the number of cancer patients will almost double - the ACS needs all the support it can get.
