    Stg1Regal Yep Traction Issues!:)

I was there, didn't race tho, didn't know I could till my son later on told me, that I could of, after they cancelled the race and was doing test and tune.

Seen Tpatterson there making passes in his Regal during Sat's T&T, the Chicago Boys were there, with the Nitrous Regals.. as I could tell noone else.

I was there Friday and Saturday. My truck and trailer got stuck in the "grass" Friday, luckily some good guys from Arizona pulled me out. Saturdays test and tune didn't go real well for me. My Regal was missing out in high gear, maybe fouled plugs. Nothing is broke though, that is always a plus!

Odd, that your car was breaking up in high gear, mine was to, I swapped plugs and it didn't help. What ever is causing mine seems to be getting worse the car kept slowing down every pass. The car is so basic I don't know where to start.. Everything is new..

My car felt strong at home on the street before I left for BG. The only thing I did is put VP 110 in it before going on the trailer. Who knows.

The thing I changed on mine was, going from 88 jets in seconary side of carb to 92. took 3 degrees of timing out of total advance, from 36 to 33. Added a ram air duct to the from air dam. I wouldn't think any of those things could cause it to break up like it was.... Last year in BG it went 11.22 this year the first pass it went 11.06 @118 . I though "wow those changes helped... " . Then I put 2 gals of Phillips 111 race fuel in it (added to 3 gals of Sunoco 110 that was already in there).. next pass 11.13 at 114 ??? Changed the plugs since then have been in there since BG last year..Then added the rest of the 5 gallons pail of fuel (now mostly this Phillips fuel) This pass 11.31 at 110 breaking up bad this time... Kept looking at fuel pressure gauge and it was steady at 6 lbs evey pass.. Now I'm sitting here thinking WTF.. Next plan is to drain out all this fuel get some Sunoco 110 and try it that.. The Sunoco never gave me a problem even going back to the early 70's when it was called Cam2 purple.

I'm not going to troubleshoot mine right now. In the process of pulling the engine for a low compression pump gas rebuild. Tired of buying race gas!
