Has anyone modified a V6 crank trigger wheel to work on a V8 buick? I am test fitting my blower on the 350 and the blower nose clears the distributor, but it is very close. I am running the Holley Strip Annihilator ignition box and have my HEI dist. setup for just magnetic pick up without a module. If I can run a magnetic crank trigger I can use a smaller points type distributor just for timing advance and to distribute the spark to each cylinder. I have 2 of the Holley V6 crank trigger kits that I can modify. I believe as long as I drill the trigger wheel every 90 degrees it should work. After drilled I should be able to install a metal ident in each hole and it should work fine. Anyone try this? Any idea what kind of metal to use once it is drilled? Like anything I do I try to do a little homework before I just jump in and would like to see if anyone here on the board has tried this.
