Recommended sealed beam headlights?

I need to replace my sealed beam headlights.

But before I call my local store and buy what he has on the shelf, I want to see what you use / recommend.

I like that they look like the original, but may well be improved (spread).
Do not mind if they are more white, but not blue.

    Any recommendations?

Noticed that some mention that they like their H4. Any original looking?

In all honesty, I would get rid of the sealed beams and go with a Cibie' H4 high-low and a H1 high beam. Make sure to add a relay in line (the light green wire is the high beam wire). I do this with many of my cars over here and you being in Europe, well, your even closer to the source, so to speak.

US headlamp regulations that forced sealed beams on us were antiquated even before the first lamp was produced. You over there had (and have) a much better time with lighting regulations.

I purchased a set of Wagner halogen headlights from rockauto, a couple of years ago. Works for me and no electrical changes required.

I'm still using T-3s. I had to replace one recently but had one in the basement. Not sure when I'll need to buy replacements.

I would go with T3 replacements. They are improved over originals. Try Ames Pontiac for best price.

I have seen that Hella has received good reviews on different sides (summitracing, amazon), but that they are illegal in the United States.
But they are legal here, and I have several stores that are distributors.

    But what is best:
    1. High and low beam + high beam. So I have four high beam at the same time?
    2. Low beam + high beam. Running at the same time and I wide beam pattern?

This High & low beam looks thicker. :(
One review mentioned: "The best current-production 5 3/4" low beam is the Hella Bi-Focus H1 unit. It is quite a large lot better than an H4."

I've had Hella's and Cibie's. I personally like the pattern of the Cibie' beam better, much more even without "hot" spots that the Hella's seem to have. Either way, they will be hugely better than anything US spec you can find. I would place the H4 (Hi-Lo) in the outboard position and the H1's in the inboard position. The wiring is already set up for this from the factory, unless it's been changed when the car was imported. All four of the headlamps should be lit when on high beam and only the outboard when on low beam.

Make sure your alternator is in excellent condition when you do this.

Trying to find the product numbers

I noticed that there are flat and convex (domed) lens. What is original, best looking, most popular?

The convex lens's are, in my opinion, the best not only optically but also closest to the original look of the sealed beams. You will be very, very happy with the results.

I'd go with the convex IF they are legal in Sweden. I couldnt find convex ones so I went with hella and philip h4 nitebreaker. A huge improvement! You have to look closely to notice the different shape, but it is visible.

    Thanks.

I find no Cibie-dealer in Sweden.
There are some ads from England on Ebay but they drive on the wrong(left) side of the road and their headlights are probably suited for it.

Not so many Cibie ads at all on Ebay. Feels like it is difficult to get hold of Cibie?

I've ordered from a shop in England Cibie' lamps, can't find the name just right now. They will sell you the proper "right hand rule of road" lights if you specify them.
