I lived outside Grand Rapids, MN for about 25 years, a buddy of mine had all his GM stuff 70s and up done by a speed shop in Roseville. HP/Blueprinted/dyno etc. prob not what your lookin for, but I will talk to him if your interested and get there name. There spendy, but stand behind there work. They did a 700 HP Firebird for him, and a 1000 HP 50 Ford P/U, plus a few others. Let me know.

I've used Adelman engine builders in Blaine for vintage engines with very good results. Tommy Porter up there knows the old engines very well.

    Dan and Jake,
MAS was at 2200 block of University, but a search came up with "Is MAS racing products out of business?" The HAMB seemed to confirm that they were and when I tried there old website www.masracingproducts.com I got a site the said the domain name is available. Another one bites the dust . . .

MAS was earlier on Hennepin around 25th south. My impression of Wagamon some years ago was they were a good shop for more contemporary generic applications, but I wasn't so sure about them doing a 40+ year old nailhead type-good to hear otherwise these days-

Wagamon did a couple of complete rebuilds for my Dad that were out of the ordinary, and they seemed to handle them fine.
    A V-12 Lincoln engine, and a Lycoming V8 from a Cord.

When I did my 425 nailhead back in the 80's, I used a NAPA that was near my apartment at the time for the machine work. Big mistake.
Wagamon did the machine work on the block & heads for my 455 a couple years ago. No complaints.
Besides, they are 4 blocks from my place. Can't get more convenient than that.

MAS is gone, they reopend at a new location off I-94 by I-694 then went belly up. I would go with Wagamon Brothers.

    Jake,
I think another ASEP graduate, Jake Hartung who races in the Wisota series, has his race engines built by MAS in Ellsworth. This is a couple of years ago, but I can't imagine Ellsworth being able to support more than 1 machine shop! How's the snow in your world this morning?
