Go to www.rmpaint.net . go to color formulations, select Diamont, Buick and type in color. It should give you color ratios.
the nearest auto paint store is 60 miles away i stopped by my local napa,they mix on-site :error: one of the guys is an old body/paint man.he wasnt working when i asked,& i did give them the code.i was going to buy a quart for door jambs/cowl & see how it turned out p
That R-M site is for the European R-M which is not completely the same as the North American R-M. They have some toners which we can't get here and so many of their formulas are different. An R-M formula will do you no good anyway for another brand of paint, as all paint manufacturers have their own specific toners which vary greatly in color and strength. So all of them use entirely different formulas. Your Napa store should also be able to cross another paint brands number into theirs. Or I can get you a formula tomorrow from our local Napa store.
i talked to my guy today,he found it using the rm #wa4140 i got from the site.ppg2340 came up as a chevrolet orange color,allmost looks like firemist?which is ok for my 69 when i get to it :bglasses: he is doing some research to come up with a single stage for me in b/s.since hes in the middle of a move & has no shop,i am going to give it a try myself,& s/s is what he recomends i try on my own.i will post pic when i get it.thanks guys,as allways :beer
