Does anyone know of a good rechromer for bumpers in the Chicagoland area? I know I can send them to Tri City, but I sort of want to drop these off and pick them up. Please let me know if you have used someone good and what it ran you!!

    Thanks,
    Brian

I believe that if you look back there have been some complaints about the quality of the Dessert Dog bumpers.

Long story. Usually I use Tri City but the shipping is gone to $150 or more per bumper just to go over to Tn.
SO because of Keystone being close to JW we usued them. Months of wating, they will only take perfect cores in the first place so they reject most; they dinged one bumper, bent another and the redo took months again. Nice job on the chrome but boy they are not much with the service.

GSX??... Heck, that one was easy.. take bumpers in, get back, hang on car..

This car was the one we had issues with.. for all intents and purposes, this car has been done for 8 months, but we have been waiting to get a front bumper I could put on it... First time I got it back it has a mysterious dent in it, that was not there when I sent it in.. and then we waited, and waited, and waited...

In the future, I will use Tri-City, and see how their service is. Keystone has done a lot of bumpers for me, but their service is lacking when you have an issue.

They do nice chrome, no question about that, but I have to have service too..

No way I should have waited more than 6 weeks for a redo that was their fault.

AIH Chrome is the place that Dave Kliener uses for his restorations. They have jigs and will fix the bumper right. It did take 6 months to get it back but the quality of the work is awesome.

    Ouch!
Tri city does attend shows in Charlotte(NC), Carlisle(Pa) and Columbus (Ohio), so you can save some shipping costs that way. But you may get hit with sales tax if you pay at the show.

I don't know my bumper was pushed and pulled way out and had two hole drilled in it did not fit the car at all 3 months later and it is just beautiful very happy from keystone and the price was not bad $415.00 that was a rear
