I have had nothing but good experiences in my dealings with Poston. Both under the old owner and the new one. Tony has always been a great help and has been patient with me when I didn't know the exact part # or name. Anyone in business can have a problem with their suppliers. Especially in this business, it shouldn't happen but it does. Most of the resellers are just that, and they get thier parts from a lot of the same suppliers. Sooner or later you will hear complains about every reseller, even if they make their own parts.
I spoke to the person who did the Nailhead oil pumps and he explained to me exactly what he did and told me that I could easily do the same. I chose to buy the pump from him because he had the expertise to know what and how to do it safely.

Having dealt with Buick parts suppliers for over thirty years I find that they have all had problems with both parts and service but having said this I have found that those at Poston have always been most eager to clear up any problems. In the past when Ihave had a part failure a new one was sent right away with no problem.I know of a highly reguarded turbo vendor that sells a high performance fuel pump that uses a twisted piece of wire to get extra pressure, some scream fraud but it works with little failure.I also have talked to a V8 vendor who claims not to use 67-69 rockers on a 455 but when I asked him why did he tell me to go to them several years back he said that's because he wasn't making his own to sell back then. So,all I can say is they all have their problems and I am sure Tony will make it right if the problem is explained politely.I wish you the very best with your problem and know what you are going thru having dealt with another vendor last year over an engine block problem on a friends car.
