According to the Stage 1 Registry and The Buick Performance Club site: Stage1 heads do not have a special casting number over non-stage1 heads. You need to remove the head and look at the valves. Stage 1 heads contain valves which 'almost' touch. Here are pictures of standard valves versus stage1 valves. Pictures courtesy of George Nenadovich at BuickPerformanceClub.com.
I sent the guy an email about the center hump pan. I got this back- "Yep tried that engine cradle hits pan went back to the rear sump modified it to clear steering cut the 350 pads off made new ones had to move them about 4 inches forward for the transmission to mount to cross member the 455 was never offered in 68 to le sabre also the 455 is about 4 inches longer than the 350 but thank you good advice with the pan" Oh well.
