I have sitting on a stand a rebuilt 455 long block. The block is a 75 or 76 bored .30 over, hyper pistons, the crank was turned .10. All new bearings and cam bearings. The engine is rated at 9.0-1 compression. Heads are rebuilt, using stock springs and valves. This is a full long block, there is no cam, lifters or pushrods in it. front cover and water pump are included. I believe I have a later model intake to fit, and will be glad to include if it is still there. This engine was not built with the intentions of being a race engine, rather just a smooth street motor that could run great on pump gas. I purchased this from a friend, with the intentions of dropping it in my 70 convertible that Jarrod has finnished for me. I have decided to leave the car alone, hence I wont need this motor, and cant see the reason to have it sit and wait. I would prefer it to be picked up in person, but I will be happy to strap to a pallet and ship via freight system of your choice. $1200
Mark, are the heads 75-76 vintage as well? If so, would you be interested in selling it as a shortblock? I already have 2 sets of rebuilt heads. Let me know, Randy
Randy, I will assume the heads are of the same vintage. I would like to try and sell this as a package, because the extra heads will just sit on the shelf and turn to dust collectors. If it doesnt go then I will be open to maybe making you a deal, OK
