Hi I think this is the very last option my 65 Skylark needs and I will have about everything except AC.I am in need of a rear window defogger setup.Will purchase parts seperate such as wiring harness,switch and main defroster unit but would prefer a complete setup but do not mind collecting parts till its complete either.Thanks and please help if you can.
Defroster Hello again Bruce. I don`t have what you need, however I did install one on a 65 many years ago. You will likely have to piece it together. I got the blower and switch out of a 67. The bad thing about the 65`s is that you have to change the plate where the switches go. You need one with 4 holes and it will say accessory on the extra hole. I was able to find a convertible in a wrecking yard. It had the correct plate. I used the hole where the top up and down switch was. I was able to use the knobs fronm the switch as they fit right on to the defrost switch. I had to file off the words up and down off the inner knob and repaint it black. This may be the way to go if the exact stuff does not turn up. Good luck, John
