Does anyone have any photos of the correct installation of the rear speaker and speaker box for the underside of the package tray of a '71 GS coupe? A shot from the inside of the truck would be most helpful. Thanks, Ken
i had a pair of those in my 70 chevelle but i do not remember how they were attached to the base. i ordered the car with dual rear speakers.
Sort of like a Bigfoot a rear speaker enclosure in a GS or Skylark. Never before seen by this guy. I have owned and parted more than 50 GS and Skylarks but never a original speaker box or even a piece. What say you guys ? ANyone have one?
I have one in my car, still in storage. It would be either aftermarket or NOS. I'll lean to the aftermarket as more probable. It could also be a later model piece. I'll have to wait for another month as the weather locally just isn't good.
John is right, those were Big car items. As for the mounting studs I found out that inline tube repo's them now, not cheap.. The single blue wire you can get from the stereo guy on ebay. Here is a pic of my NOS mounting studs. DL
I got one in mint condition from Topcat a couple of years ago but have never installed it. The car was already finished and i just got used to the dash speaker...If youse guys want a pic let me know and I can get it this weekend. Bert
Guys, Those items were not just big car Items. I have proof. My car came with a rear speaker from the factory. It is on My Fisher build sheet. States clearly "Rear Speaker". My original blue wire is still intact. I cannot say whether it came with a box or not but it did come on GS/Skylark at least in 70-72.
