Rear Speaker and Speaker Box for '71 GS

Does anyone have any photos of the correct installation of the rear speaker and speaker box for the underside of the package tray of a '71 GS coupe? A shot from the inside of the truck would be most helpful.

I would like to see this one myself. My car came with one on the build sheet but only wire is left.

 

i had a pair of those in my 70 chevelle but i do not remember how they were attached to the base. i ordered the car with dual rear speakers.

 

Sort of like a Bigfoot a rear speaker enclosure in a GS or Skylark. Never before seen by this guy. I have owned and parted more than 50 GS and Skylarks but never a original speaker box or even a piece. What say you guys ? ANyone have one?

 

I have one in my car, still in storage. It would be either aftermarket or NOS.
I'll lean to the aftermarket as more probable.
It could also be a later model piece.
I'll have to wait for another month as the weather locally just isn't good.

 

John is right, those were Big car items. As for the mounting studs I found out that inline tube repo's them now, not cheap.. The single blue wire you can get from the stereo guy on ebay. Here is a pic of my NOS mounting studs.

DL , You mention "stereo guy" on e-Bay , is that his user name or do you have his actual user name ?

 

I got one in mint condition from Topcat a couple of years ago but have never installed it. The car was already finished and i just got used to the dash speaker...If youse guys want a pic let me know and I can get it this weekend.

Guys, Those items were not just big car Items. I have proof. My car came with a rear speaker from the factory. It is on My Fisher build sheet. States clearly "Rear Speaker". My original blue wire is still intact. I cannot say whether it came with a box or not but it did come on GS/Skylark at least in 70-72.

 

Never seen a rear speaker car with a speaker box.
