Can someone tell me if the 3 plastic rollers that are attached to the glass (center through channel guide) 2 outer along each side, if they are pressed into the round metal backing plate or are they screwed in. o No: I've attached a few pictures to better illustrate what I mean. I need to replace the broken rollers on both panes and was wondering how this is done. Any help will be appreciated, my scaped knuckles thank you, was fun getting the glass out. Willem NorCal
I've done this job. Getting the glass out is like one of those puzzles. Your question is not particularly clear. Trying to interpret it is like getting the glass out. But, the rollers are servicable. That lower roller plate unscrews. I placed it in my bench vice to hold the glass sash nut (the real name) and unscrewed the window from it. Can't remember how the new roller attaches but I know it can be done easily.
Flip the glass over and look at the other side...I think there are provisions on the backside of one or more of those roller assemblies to use a sort of two pronged tool to unscrew them.
Yea, thanks for the replies. Sorry my question was unclear. The issue was that the bottom roller on the rear quarter glass was broken and therefore the glass would not track properly up or down. It wasnt an issue of removing the regulator or pane, that was done already. Anyway, I found out today that the roller does screw in the backing plate. Thanks for the help. Now on to door windows. Should be easier, rears were a bugger. Willem NorCal
